>In IIS, we can set credentials in the application pools. When we select an account, we have to enter the password. Anyone ever wonder why we have to enter the password here but not in Task Scheduler when we assign an account to be used to execute a task?
If you put a user name when you press ok to save the task it will ask you the password for the user but you need to select "Run whether user is logged on or not" for if you select the first one "Run only when user is logged on" my guess is that it will just pass the credentials, so no need for a password.
