if you are talking about income and near bordering, that level was eclipsed very shortly after moving into my own first flat ages ago. Definately with you that everybody SHOULD reassess time&effort spent working and result gotten - but at prices for goods and services asked in developed countries even when coding stuff just on pure hope of a windfall I was working 5-10H per week for compensation much higher than average wage/H in addition to 50H for the pie in the sky. Targeting lower 10% of immediate surroundings smells over-ascetic to me...
