>Has anyone else noticed that "You're welcome" has been supplanted by "No problem"? You say thank you and they say no problem. When and why did this happen?
I first noticed that in people who use English as a second language.
I attributed it to an anglicization of "de nada" or "de rien."
Now it seems to have spread into general usage.
