>>I have no interest in being a disciple of Jesus and never will.

>I said the exact same thing before I came to meet Him in 2004. I was a devout atheist who argued against any need for God in a person's life. "A person could live a moral and ethical life [more or less along the code you outlined] without the need of God," I would say. But Jesus changed me. He re-wired me from the inside out (because of the rebirth that comes in being born again of the spirit). There's just no other way to say it: Jesus completely transformed my life. I went from being who I was, to who I am, and I am still on the journey of doing more for Him in my life.

>Tamar, it is absolutely amazing the transformation I've had. I would never have believed it had it not happened to me. I would've concluded the person saying the things I say, compared to what I used to say, was delusional, unbalanced, or some other such thing. But it is true. And other people have experienced the same thing.

I'm happy for you, but as far as I'm concerned, trying to convert others is rude. In the large, it leads to mass slaughter.

>This change was due to no effort of my own. I did not study or read or go on a quest or anything. The only thing I did was get to a point in my life where I wanted to know the truth. I began to read the Bible with a Christian co-worker because I was criticizing the need of God, and he began asking me questions where I didn't have enough knowledge of the stories in scripture to be able to respond. I told him that I would read the Bible, come to understand the stories, and then refute his "foolish arguments" as we went along.

>By getting to the point where I truly wanted to know the truth, even though I had false motives about why I wanted to know the truth (to put down his arguments), I found the truth. Which means I found Jesus. I met Him there because He is truth. Whenever anyone hears the truth, they hear His voice (John 18:37).

>I pray that He will open your eyes as He did mine, and everyone who reads this as well, that each of you will come to believe also, and be saved. All you have to do is seek the truth honestly, truly, and with purpose in your heart to really really know the truth. He is found there, because He /*is*/ truth.
