They seem to be showing the cream of the crop in each sport I've seen. Yes, they pay attention to the Americans, as is reasonable for an American broadcast, but not just those. (And, in fact, last night, showing the pairs figure skating, they didn't show the two American pairs at all--bit of a disappointment since one of the men is from this area.)
