I do not know how well it is accepted in corporate circles in France or elsewhere. We write off-the-shelf applications. We do not do contract work for corporates nor do we want a job working for one. My clients, many of whom are large corporates, don't care what we develop in (they never even ask) just so long as it does the job, works well, is supported. I have heard there are about 120,000+ WinDev developers worldwide including in the US, UK, and Europe. I imagine most of these are doing bespoke solutions and/or off the shelf package development (which, btw, is what I think most VFP developers are doing).
