I am looking for a simple solution for a blogging companion to an existing mini web site (a single-page one).

My first idea was google blogspot (I have one a non business one). I imagine I could supplement easy my current site with a blog site that would reuse the background page style of my current site (www.seriatim.com) and insert a standard blogspot text within this frame.

An easy solution such as the wingware blog: http://wingware.blogspot.fr/

Is this the no-brainer solution? Or would you recommend alternative solutions since there are host of blogging solutions. I am looking for a very limited set of functionalities.
