I'm going to have a busy weekend ahead of me filling in the pothole that was created when my jaw slammed into the floor when I heard the news that the 9th Circuit not only got this ruling correct but drew and quartered the gun control permit process in California.
California must allow law-abiding citizens to carry concealed firearms in public, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday, striking down the core of the state's permit system for handguns.http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Court-strikes-California-law-limiting-concealed-5232386.phpOpinion here:

That said, the mere fact that the 9th bastion of communist thought managed to get something as fundamental as the 2nd amendment correct speaks volumes for how dramatically towards constitutionality the gun control debate has turned in recent years.
Of course, the 9th is also the 2nd most overturned circuit court in the land so... ;)
Have a great weekend, all!
