You cannot write a thing like this with a framework. He writes with C, not even C++ . It's a really hard and hard job.
>There is always a first. I would say it depends mostly on how many resources are available (people and time) and which tools are used. We have done projects with minimum personnel and limited time in a period that was 20 times less than another team with many developers could achieve simply because we could make use of a stable framework which could easily be adapted to the project and provided all the necessary tools.

>I think the biggest problem would be if the project has to be done besides of a regular job because there is no funding. If the project IS the regular job then the chance of success is much more realistic. So that would be my worry in this particular case, and that probably was the cause of failure with the previous attempts by Christopher etc.

>>I had said you, it's impossible to finish this project in your spare time. You need a team which will work fulltime... You won't finish this lesser version too, like others (etec, Christopher's Guineu...), sorry...

>>>== ANNOUNCEMENT Feb.12.2014 ==
>>>
>>>I began work on a lesser version of Visual FreePro (VFrP) today, called
Visual FreePro, Jr. (VJr). I made the decision to move forward on this lesser project because I haven't found anyone to help me with Visual FreePro, and the project is simply too large and complex to continue working on it like this piecemeal. It requires full-time dedication, and I am unable to provide it with that attention at present because of having a full-time job, family time, Christian outreach ministries, etc. If any of that changes, I will return to Visual FreePro in its full form.
>>>
>>>VJr seeks to be a largely VFP9-compatible version that is designed to only run on Windows, natively. It will not have a virtual machine, the VXB++ language extensions, and most of the features designed for VFrP. It is copyleft-protected open source software, so anyone can take the source code and build from it. It is my hope that once this version gets to a particular level of development, I will be able to demonstrate to other people how to add new functions so we can all work together.

>>>Download the VJR.EXE executable (v0.10, don't expect much, right now it only loads, draws a screen, and you can click anywhere on it to close the application):
