It would be regular wages for life and living. Right now my job pays for stuff (house, car, food, electricity, etc). Instead of me doing my regular job for non-Visual FreePro development, the several companies interested in getting Visual FreePro would contact the owner and managers of the company I work for, offering to reduce the cost of development on Visual FreePro for them, and you. In this way I would work the number of hours I'm working per week on my regular job today, on developing and completing the core of Visual FreePro instead. It would be about a six month committment.

If 10 or more companies got together, or if many individuals interested each contributed something as well, then it would be at most a few hundred dollars (US$) each per month for four to six months to complete the core. After that, work could continue on as it has been doing it more slowly, or if people want to continue then I could continue working on it full time. Also, at that point, the company I'm working for might pick up the tab and let me work on it almost full time because it's giving them new life for all of their existing software, and without the multi-year expense of the several re-writes.
