Thanks, but that wasn't the problem. I put a push key clean in the init of the form and all is well. Now I just have to find where I left some 'on key label fx do nothing' code laying around.

I find that since I have been working with VFP, I tend to get frustrated more quickly and consequently not examine the most likely cause of program misbehavior. Is this common? or have I been stuck in the DOS world too long.
