Just to make sure it was clear. Don't change the BoundColumn, set it a 2 and leave it there. The cbo will display the name and the name will be in the DisplayValue property, the cbo.Value will always be the client number.
>Before I originally posted, I noticed that I could indeed do that...I just wasn't comfortable with the idea of bouncing the BoundColumn setting around...It had the appearance of a solution that was not the original design/intent, but rather a work-around, and therefore a potential place where ill-behaviour could crop up. I knew there had to be a way to directly access that Column's information...but I couldn't remember how....so between all of us were found 4 ways....there's probably more, but that will do for now....
