Rest assured that they don't really guarantee it's completely dead. It should be weakened... and then there were cases when you'd get the not-so-dead sample of other viruses.

But I think you can sleep fine, it's only the small companies that have to pay the analyses at independent or state labs; the big guys are big enough to do their own checking. Not sure which countries and the names of the laws, but that's the gist of what arrived at my monitor.
