Not recommended nor supported. There are errors that can occur that cause a message box to try to display on the server console and until dismissed will hang Excel.

There are several Excel libraries that allow you to manipulate Excel files. I'm working on a Winform project now with Spread.Net from ComponentOne.

>I guess that you can still use in excel in com (via interop, I've been doing it in VB.net) on the server. You won't be able to open the created spreadsheet in excel for the user though. Ah well. :)
