I assume you mean this in a client/server vien? Should you create an Stored Procedure that runs on the back end server, or, should you write a FoxPro procedure that processes a view, then updates that view.

Well... my answer to that is, it depends! Can you specify more of the situation you are asking in?

Also, there is another option these days.. That is, to create an automation server that can 'do the process'... you could put this .EXE on the SQL server and run it with remote automation.
