>Agreed. Like Kevin, I haven't had any coffee this week, either. I had already cut back and this is as good an excuse as any to cut it out completely or at least way back. I don't plan to drop Coke but I don't drink that much of it. I don't seem to have it in me to adopt a completely healthy diet.

Maybe it is un-American (but hey, I'm from THE Frankfurt...) but I'd opt for coffee and canceling Coke - in all variants, from sugared over light to zero. Water is much better for your teeth and the whole system. Coffee is a) hot or at least warm b) breaks you away from your routine (provided you don't have a Nespresso machine plugged into your desktop machine).

All for oscillating coffee intake to get an idea how much your body is habituated to it - which is something I try to control early on.

>I have seen some articles about the number of people who are eating several small, healthy "meals" a day instead of the traditional breakfast-lunch-dinner. People who do it say they feel more energetic. I may give it a try.

Others say it will keep your insulin level up and stop you from burning body fat. Tried it, does not work for me. Not that I don't have trouble keeping weight down with 2 meals a day - that is an ongoing effort due to less sport...
