Once in a while I text my daughters, to much merriment on their part at my klutziness. They use theirs primarily for texting. Which does not make them unusual, especially for their generation. A few years ago the overall number of text messages surpassed the number of voice calls.
Well, I am part Luddite as well - my phone has Skype and Whatsapp, which for me are enhancements to communication abilities ;-)
