Commonly used for web services.

The normal way to access data from MVC is by using Entity Framework. A simple example is http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/mvc-5/introduction/getting-started

But kudos on getting WCF working. It's not so easy.

>I knew someone would ask me that, the truth is I don't know what I'm doing (in the Web world) so as I have time on my hands at the moment I thought it a good idea to learn as many "three letter acronyms" ( TLA's ) as I could and bundle them into one app, amazingly it works. What are the common uses for WCF ?
