Hi Kevin , yes there are calls from the WCF layer to SQL Server SP's but ? I'm only playing around learning this stuff ( WEB Stuff ) and would never use this approach in a production app, I come from a server/desktop oriented background ( and before that some ) where SQL Server ( or whatever ) is on the server and the client is on the desktop, I still like the "thin client" on the desktop and a " DAL" with all the usual "business rules" approach but I realise this doesn't suffice in this "Web World" , what I like is the ability to have an accessible service ( WCF or otherwise ) running either remotely or locally that is programmed to an interface ( the best design ever ) , I will ( as usual ) end up with a hugely over engineered Hello World app but hey hoh, thanks for your interest ( everybody ).
Regards,
Peter J. Kane
