I think it's a little bit late to start work with a framework like VMF.
I started with VMF not long after FPW was followed up by VFP, in the ninetees. I thought that it would help me in learning the OOP way. But it didn't. On the contrary, it was a freely chosen path that prevented me from diving deep into the real VFP world. Only after have banned VMF I started to really learn VFP. And only then I discovered that such a framework ultimately is a restriction rather than an extension. A framework is always built upon the opinion of the developer(s) about how to develop. And, the manual of VMF is perhaps even thicker than the VFP manaul. It is an indication of a long learning period.
