Sure - I still use some tricks I picked (or just saw) in this or that framework (including my own attempts at a framework - some tricks I had to invent on the way are still useful), and OTOH we have all contributed to these frameworks by sending them bug fixes, bug reports, writing on their forums (or here)... so the transfer of knowledge goes both ways. Perhaps this spirit of sharing is what made VFP great.

Just yesterday I was searching for some stupid error message from SQL server (it requires special syntax when restoring a backup on a machine which doesn't have identical physical path as the one where the .mdf/ldf files originally were, and the message is misleading), and I've seen their forums... Sheesh, the answer is incomplete, solution doesn't actually work, but they engage in a four-step subthread about "why didn't you give me points for the answer, I'm an MVP". I'm not saying we never had that, perhaps once or twice a year, but this kind of stuff seems to be regular over there. New kids on the chopping block...
