The title of this post is the error message I get when running a MVC view, my model declaration is

@model IEnumerable<Mytable>

but I get the dreaded red squiggle in design mode , I don't know if this is related but I've also lost intellisense in my views I get messages like "@Html Helper does not contain a method ActionLink" and also all calls to any "@Html helpers" are "red squigglies" , all this started when Nuget updated some libraries.
