>>I don't believe that baptism of the Holy Spirit comes before the water baptism of repentance, be
>>there any physical water or not. I will continue to study this point, but what I describe as water baptism
>>does not require water, but is that stage of being drawn by God to recognize oneself as a sinner, in need

>My reference point would be Acts 8:36-38 "And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water:
>and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou
>believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son
>of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both
>Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him." (But don't look for it in the NIV translation, that would be
>a waste of time. Many religions don't like verse 37 so they removed it for that purpose).

>Also looking at all the other places where literal water baptism is administered, the baptism of the Holy Spirit
>came before the water baptism. When there were Jews present the Gentiles did speak in other tongues to
>indicate to the Jews (according to the prophecy in Joel) that those Gentiles have received the Holy Spirit.
>As result those were then baptized in water.

There is also Acts 19:1-6 - KJV

"1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."

>I believe that most probably the 'few' refers to the number of saved in relation to the ones that are not saved.
>In that sense it is few, but the total number is still very high.

Agree.
