>>Regarding Android, that's about as irrelevant an analogy as it gets.

It's another way of saying "no matter how credible the theory, the animal is always right." You were scathing at the suggestion that Android was shipping hundreds of thousands per month and outstripping the completion. At face value, I'd agree that Android was not so superior as to justify such success and theoretically WinPhone should have been a winner. But the animal is always right. Just as the animal will be right wrt the Obamacare website, no matter how high people can pile pro or con invective now. Personally I think it's looking good and all it needs is another postponement and the website is good enough already.

BTW, did you see this? http://www.cnbc.com/id/101464724 Looks like original contractors are dropping like flies. Not sure how those who insist everything is a government failure that never would happen if private business were in charge, will rationalize this. A more likely explanation is that IT incompetence is more widespread than we thought and that while it's good enough for the "steady as she goes" projects that typify a lot of IT, stumblefeet plus new project = boom.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
