A while back Craig sang the praises of Windows 8 here, citing, among other things, much faster restart times.

I got a new desktop last week.. Dell 9020 and wow.. does this thing move!
Win 8 took some getting used to but now I can see why they did the things they did.
It's a shame that they booted the first release so badly, because it's a winner.
