Check out a product called Start8 from StarDock ($5) for a Start Menu replacement that makes Windows 8 Desktop mode just like Windows 7.

The only thing wrong with Start8 is it is a little slower when it searches for applications when you type in the name and it's not as thorough as the Modern mode in the searches. But, to me having a hierarchical presentation of my installed programs is worth the $5.
