One thing I observed as I got older ... I used to look at the newscasters, weathermen, people on TV shows, movies, as all being "so much older" than me, and that was just the way I thought about them. From time to time as I got older I would see something and realize, "Look how young those people are," realizing that they were notably younger than I was, yet I was still regarding them in my mind as being older. Quite a realization.

Aging happens very quickly. It was just [snaps fingers] that long ago that I was in high school, in my early 20s, etc. Now I'm 44, still longing to do so many things, but often being stopped by my aging body. It just takes me longer to do most everything, and I can tell clearly that I'm not 25 any longer, that's for sure. :-)

My son is 10. I'm amazed at how fast he's grown up as well. Amazes me.
