For prostitution, a license should be required to ensure prostitutes get regular medical check-ups, and they should have training and support in insisting on use of condoms. This will be an advance in public health, compared with the situation today.

Necrophilia would be my second choice for what should be done with my corpse, the first being scientific or medical use. Once my dead body is no longer of any use to me, it may as well be of some use to someone. Besides, I often enjoy rhinophytonecrophilia (nasal sex with dead plants). "

>>>Actually I didn't look it up like you do. My reference to homophobia was based upon some of Rick's earlier messages in other threads.

>>FWIW, I do try to live my values when shopping. For example, I will no longer buy anything at Chick-Fil-A, since I don't want to help its owner put money into organizations trying to limit the human rights of others. Similarly, I will not go to movies that have Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson, because I refuse to money in their pockets.

>Curves and Hobby Lobby are a couple other companies you might want to avoid. Ownership of both is fundamentalist in the extreme and some money flows in that direction. Hobby Lobby is appealing having to go along with the ACA on the grounds that they are a religious organization. Uh, folks, you are not a religious organization, you are a chain of retail stores.

Yep, but Hobby Lobby isn't in this area. I'd never heard of them before all this stuff (as well as at least one of their store's rudeness over not carrying Hanukkah craft stuff). Oddly, though, in October, I saw them in two different cities I visited.

Didn't know Curves was a problem, but doesn't matter. We belong to a locally-owned gym.
