I seem to recall that it operates much like NoScript on FireFox, anything not whitelisted is not allowed to run. This includes ActiveX, 3rd-party content etc. So, a site that has any of that will not "work" or appear "normal" even if you've added it to the Trusted Sites.

Time for a Chrome installer on a USB stick :-\
