Anyway - I've made sure all the datatypes in the cursor are correct and there are no empty or null values either. If I click on 'ignore' the GO TOP command works. As an experinment, I tried putting a REPLACE command where the GO TOP is - and then the REPLACE command gave me the same error - again clicking on 'Ignore' worked - and so did the REPLACE command.
