Foolish to think that. Catholic Church apologized to Galileo (who died in 1642) in 1992. Look anything that involves logic or science, or for that matter common sense, - is rejected by the church because the church doesn't want people to have the ability to think for themselves with knowledge of science because if they do then church is laughing stock due to the laughable things in the bible. I would be more than happy to provide you with a list of scientifically incorrect things in the bible but I would not live long enough to compile such a list.
