Jeff (our Internet man) just got me hooked through the LAN - this is his responce

Ok, that should work now OK.  The problem was that the site required the
browser to send a Referer-URL: header, and the cache was filtering it out
(paranoid setting)
Shutting filtering off means that the Referer-URL: header is passed to the
web site.

It seems to work with just a few clitchs do retry to continue.
