>> Unreservedly. When you begin by recognizing that God is the author of life, then the rest becomes academic. That child did nothing to warrant being murdered. The actions of the rapist are the criminal ones. The mother is the victim. The child is a precious gift from God, a new life given unto the mother and her family.

>>Rick, this is inhumane. I'd even go so far to say this is a cruel and vicious position. You're denying the woman the choice of determining who will be the father of her baby.

Do you deem this a justifiable reason to murder the innocent child, Dorris (that the woman may have to visit the biological father from time to time)?
I suggest the God-fearing woman, through her witness, would stand a better chance of allowing God into the heart of the hard man over the next 18 years were they to have ongoing communication. Hers would be an outreach and teaching ministry given unto Him, as it is given unto him by her life's example of forgiveness and love.
