We know that Text type is obsolete and should be replaced in favor of VarChar(MAX) or whatever the other types which might relate.

This still work on SQL Server 2012. I have this one to be planned to be updated, on all the related fields which still have a type Text to be changed to VarChar(MAX). However, I would like to know if someone knows if the next version of SQL Server will still support Text. This is just for a planning purposes. I just do not want to wait until the end to be forced to change it in an urgent situation.
