>>...And powerful: you can add 100,000 rows x 30 columns to a table in +/-40 seconds. That’s 3 million cells and the resulting table is fully sortable and filterable and sub-filterable (i.e. apply a filter to an already filtered table, and again and again). (NB: This 40 seconds includes the time to read the data from disk based files using a SSD with 8Gb RAM, 64bit Windows 8, 2.4Ghz CPU).

>Does Windev grids supports paging for SQL-SERVER tables?

I don't know because I don't use SQL Server but I would imagine it supports everything that would be considered normal to support.

>Also there are different licenses. WinDev 18 and WinDev 18 full. What's difference?

There is only 1 license type for WinDev as far as I know. It is a single fee and then you can make and distribute your EXE files plus the built in HyperFile RDBMS plus the report writer all royalty free. There is a WinDev Express version which I think is a free version to allow you to test and trial and play around with it and I assume it will have limited functionality. You need a separate license for mobile platform (WinDev Mobile) and for web development (WebDev).

In respect of these last 2 platforms - I have not used them properly myself but from what I have read about them I would say that WinDev (for desktop) is a 95% complete solution. I say 95% to leave 5% because you can always improve something. WinDev Mobile and WebDev I think sits around 50% to 80% depending on what the desired application must do. They are not as complete as WinDev (desktop) because they are newer platforms and because those worlds are changing so fast. Having said that, they bring out new releases every year and each release adds lots and lots of additional functionality so they are busy with it all the time.

Keep in mind that these guys have been in business for 20+ years. They could not have survived so long if they and their products were not delivering what they promise.

>And SQL Native license. What's means? Without this can't access SQL or if access what's benefit of SQL Native Access License?

I don't use SQL Server so I am not 100% sure. I suspect that there are 2 ways to access SQL Server (as well as other 3rd party databases). The one way is via the 3rd party database's own connectivity methods and the other way will be built into WinDev itself and they call that "native". For example, I can access VFP database via OLEDB driver supplied by MS or I can access the VFP databases using WinDev "native" mode which is directly with WinDev's own access methods and does not require the OLEDB driver. I think this is what "native access" means and perhaps they sell their own SQL Native Access as a separate license - probably because it has more power or is faster or integrates better to WinDev or something like that. You can email info@windev.com for further clarification.
