Another approach is to Add the Microsoft StatusBar ActiveX Control to your form.

* Right click on the StatusBar object once you placed it on the form.
* Select SBarCtrl Properties
* Click on Panels
* Insert a panel with a Style of 5.

You can also add one for the date if you need to (Style = 6).

By doing this you do not need to write or maintain any code.
