You're right about correlations: African American teens are more than 4 times as likely as Caucasian teens to be pregnant- but you'd need to look at poverty/educational expectation to decide whether chicken or egg came first.

And kind of a Catch-22. Many teen report getting pregnant because they don't see any way out of where they currently are (no jobs available, no education), so they may as well have kids.
