>Hogwash. Political threads had many many statements which were stated as fact no less than Ricks. For example "Barack Obama is a socialist" or "Sara Palin is an idiot" etc etc.

>>These are not technical subjects, but they don't create the problems and chaos religious posts do either. I think it all boils down to that everyone can agree that music is just a mater of personal taste - same with political things for the most part too... however the religious posts - I'd say it's obvious that there are those here who think their religion (or lack of) is not an opinion - to them it's a fact and thus all others are wrong. ...sooo needless to say that is going to cause big issues. At least with politics you can pick out things from all different systems that you like - with religion you don't have that option.

>>>Perhaps we should also consider banning political discussions, music memories etc etc None of them are technical either.

Since I could not reply to Jos' message# 1597532 as the thread is frozen, I am agreeing to his message, as well as yours, here. There was a separate section and AFAIK, the rules to limit religious messages to that section were adhered to. Also, there are other options: Twit Filter, don't read the religious section.

Having written all of that, as the owner, Michel can make whatever decision he sees fit and I support his right to do so, whether I agree with the results or not.
