I have some more feedback on TSPlus for whoever is interested.

Application Redirection:

I have been experimenting with the application re-direction feature. This is where your application (running on the server) opens an external file, such as an XLS file residing on the server. Now normally that XLS file would be opened by an application installed on the server, in this example that would be Excel obviously. However, TSPlus has a setting where you can tell it to re-direct file-open requests back to the user's machine for any file extension you specify. So if you set XLS, XLSX files to be re-directed to the user then what happens when your application tries to open the server-side XLS(X) file is that TSPlus somehow sends the XLS(X) file to the users computer and then instructs the user's computer to open it using the user's own copy of Excel. This is really awesome imo since it means you can interact with MS Office or other 3rd party applications without needing to install those apps on your server.

At this time I have only managed to make this work when using the TSPlus "Windows" option for running an application via TSPlus. Remember, TSPlus has 3 options for running apps on the server (1) HTML5 which opens your app inside the user's browser in a new tab, (2) Java Client, which opens your app inside any Java Client run-time environment, whether that be inside a browser or other Java enabled environment, or (3) what TSPlus calls "Windows" method which is still using Java but the application appears as a window on the users desktop. However the help says this should also work for HTML5 and I have sent their support an inquiry about it.

Help and Support:

I have gone over their help quite a lot and it is really quite good. It is extensive, uses many screenshots for guidance, and seems accurate and complete. I think they are producing the necessary support structure one can rely on. I think TSPlus is also much easier to install and setup than 2X, Citrix, or VMWare. Up and running in 1 hour or less.

CALs:

Although 2X now also have released an upgrade with an HTML5 client they still require CAL licensing. TSPLus does not and I think this is a huge plus.
