Thanks, unfortunately in Windows 7 the option 'Browse in same window' has been removed, so it does not work anymore. It seems to be possible by changing the registry but this is not something I can ask the clients to do, so I have to leave it the way it is. That also means I cannot expect it to work with PDF for the client either because their settings might be different than mine.

On the bright side there is an "Office Viewer ActiveX Control" which might do what I need, but it costs only $4950,00.
