Agreed. As Charles Barkley pointed out, this is a black league. If they had not come down hard on Sterling they would have had a revolt on their hands. They almost had one anyway with both the Clippers and Warriors talking about boycotting a playoff game.
It may be tricky forcing him to sell the franchise, though. Marge Schott was in a similar situation when she owned the Cincinnati Reds in the 1980s. MLB banned her for a long time from having any involvement with team operations but couldn't make her sell. She eventually sold 3 years or so later.
