So the Australian, UK, and US governments are now advising users to not use IE until this latest vulnerability is patched.

MS have said there are 2 temporary workarounds you can apply: "...In the meantime it suggests a work around for users who wish to continue using Internet Explorer. This includes deploying the Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) or by setting your Internet Explorer ‘Security Zone’ settings to ‘High’."

But the really interesting thing to me is this: will MS patch Windows XP (which is EOL for support) because this vulnerability affects all versions of Internet Explorer back to version 6 ...
