I took the time to read the article. It maybe that I'm biased but as I read the article it was basically a negative statement. Even the last statement doesn't really help with the general tone.
Years ago when we all were developing for windows the argument against linux and mac was - why do it when the market share is so small. Today the windows mobile market share is so small the question is why develop for it. How is this fact any different then when the argument was reversed?
That said, I believe phonegap just announced that they will be supporting windows 8 mobile. For those that have a reason to code for windows phones it looks like it may have just got a little easier.
