>Thanks for these questions, Bob -- it helps me to see how folks are using the product and gives me ideas to make it better. I look forward to any suggestions you have, especially regarding how SDT and SFQuery can be improved for remote data.

Well... we are using Mere Mortals... and, it is designed, if using views so that you don't have to change your bizobj, forms, whatever...

It would be nice... if I could support the filter file with a CDynamicViewCursor so that it would seemlessly work with local and remote installs.

As it is now, I am having to do different coding depending on if the view is local or remote... and not liking it.

I know you are working on supporting metadata for remote tables... and hopfully editing the remote tables with the Data Explorer... these are things we HAVE to have in our ap to release it, and I would have to have someone or ones writting code / functionality that you are already adding.

We also would like, any tool that needs to get info about a data object just ask SDT for it. This should work seemslessly for local and remote.

I don't mean to pin you down, but, any time frame on your support for remote tables. Is there any way we could work together to maybe...

1. Help you finish faster

2. Have your release meet out needs if we won't have alot of time to modify it for our release. Our boss is very concerned about having to wait for a third party release prior to being able to release our stuff.
