Harry,

I am not sure I understand you. If I set the MousePointer property
to arrow in a TextBox it works ALL THE TIME.

In a grid you need to set that property on the TextBox/EditBox controls
of each column.

Even better, subclass the standard TextBox, change the MousePointer
property and then use that subclass as your default TextBox for your
Grid columns.
