Bill, I don't think you read everything I've said here. I've said many times that Naomi makes great contributions up here. There have been times when she posted a code sample and I thought, "Wow, I never thought of trying it that way".

This would be true for anyone who is looking to take that "next step" in their craft - to develop a voice, a "brand" of their own. There's no harm per se in posting links. But framing the context can be so much more helpful. Much of what I learned about .NET came from Bonnie Berent and Cathi Gero back in 2001-2003. They posted plenty of links - but each time they also provided some commentary to help me understand why the link was so important, and specifically how it related to the original question.
