>Yes, I am talking the United States of Texas (g). The good news is, the State Legislature jumped on the Y2K bandwagon during its last session in 97. The bad news is, the State Legislature jumped on the Y2K bandwagon in 97.......
LOL.
How do you think progress is going overall in your state/country, really?
I think much has been done amongst leading companies here, but I fear that many who are currently strapped for cash may really get a rude shock. Eg. we have an exceptionally large multinational company that had much of its code written in COBOL in 60s and early 70s. Would you beleive they are shutting down the major industrial plant here in Newcastle *completely* in Dec 99. It used to employ 12000 people in this town alone. I'm not saying that it's all because of Y2K but it's suspicious.
