Over here it is not unusual for tips to be spread out among all employees - which dilutes the message to the server. But that way a good kitchen crew is rewarded as well - and they do play a role in how fast the food can be served and how it tastes ;-)
How do you handle the case of great tasting food with lousy service and how the opposite ?
