Took a few clicks to find enough info to have an opinion. The judge is dead wrong here. I expected to find that it was a case of "consensual" sex where the ages were wrong, and thus was prepared for the idea that it was a teen who'd just made a mistake. But once I found the actual story, that wasn't the case at all.

So I have the following problems:

1) I don't care who the victim is. No means no, and a woman's sexual history doesn't give anyone permission to sexually assault her.
2) It may be that this young man is worth saving (that is, can learn from his mistakes and not repeat them) and thus a shorter sentence is appropriate, but assigning him to do community service in a rape counseling center is just wrong.
