I get the impression you believe his narcissism or personality disorder is a small or insignificant cause of these murders. Is that what you're trying to convey?

It's worth pointing out that Canada went through a similar event in 1989, with Marc Lepine. There was no Twitter, Facebook, or other social media - there wasn't even the Web. Despite that, the reaction was MUCH hotter than what we're seeing now. In the aftermath we saw the damage caused by well-meaning people lashing out, or less well-meaning people using the event to promote secondary or peripheral causes.
